A different point of view

The last two days have been challenging. Low to no vigour, low motivation, just feel like going slow, which is pretty much out of the norm for me. Yesterday was hot and I rode my bike to and from trade. On the ride home I kind of dragged my ass, which I hardly ever do, and thought how it would be a perfect day for a shady porch, a rocking chair, and a bomb julep. I don't think I've ever actually had a mint julep, but it sounded like just the thing. Today at vocation I just could not get started. It didn't help that my wife decided to embark on a major reorganizing forecast in our fabric area of the store. Organizing makes me tiiiirrrreeed. At the gym this evening I thought of about 100 places that I would have rather been at that importance, chief among them, at home in bed. So I slogged though most of my workout and drove home.

All of this is made even more frustrating by how good I felt on Friday. For no evident reason, I just woke up feeling really great, and the feeling lasted thoughout the whole day. I was gratified, energetic, felt present and in the moment, and pretty much enjoyed whatever it was I did the whole day long. I thought "gee, this is how I, as a human, should strike one more often. This should be my baseline". Unfortunately, even with the PCP, this feeling is the exception rather than the rule. I don't know what the deal is, but I don't like it.

Last night, I hooked up with a ally of mine who I haven't seen in almost 10 years. We had a really nasty falling out at that time, and I pretty much vowed that I would never state one's position to him again. However, time heals all wounds, or whatever, and I ended up discovering (through Facebook, of all things) that he was living in Portland, so I got a rake over the coals to consider reconnecting with him. After a few hesitant emails, we agreed to meet up, and we ended up hanging out for 3 hours, reasonable like old times. It was great.

The main reason I bring it up here is that he spent 5 of the last 9 years in the military...

What is your view on the condition of batter hens?

Well their conditions are not the first-rate and with Hugh Whittingstalls (don't know if thats how you spell his name) program on channel 4 what is your view?

Mine is....is flinch from it.
Sorry missed the 'y' is battery...sorry.

Battery hens should be banned.
Their eggs are smaller and have less distort, and the chickens suffer terribly. Their combs are an anaemic colour rather than bright red, their claws switch off under their feet and they forget how to move, let alone run.
I have 2 chickens rescued from a chicken battery and it has taken them several months to reconcile to life as free range chickens. They are still a little neurotic, but I would be too if I lived in a battery!

What is your view of the condition of the economy... this is a test?

I am watching The Newshour as we stick up for b act on and they are doing a segment on biased perceptions of the media.

They were just discussing a major gap between republicans and democrats on their view of the 'condition' of the terseness. They said that 10-15 years ago, while both disagreed on a solution, at least they agreed on the condition of the economy.

Now they did not state where each stood on the conservatism but rather that there was a large gap between their opinions of the economic condition.

So, what do you think is the condition of the economy and what is your political affiliation?

PS... My view as a freethinker is that the economy is booming ONLY for the most wealthy.. corporations, stock traders, executives, etc... while the working/midriff class is hurting. In my state, wages for jobs have decreased while ins. premiums, the cost of living, tuitions and many other underlying things have increased. This is not even to mention outsourcing, etc... that is causing the loss of many middle arrange jobs
Not really a test but more of a survey to examine what they were talking about.
Pancakes, what party are you?
jpx my delineation of the middle class is probably any family between 80k to 250k per year. Ppl that need to work but in fact can acquire things versus ppl who dont have to work or have to work but can not acquire things.
PLEASE Declare YOUR PARTY
I agree with you for their reason on passing the bankruptcy bill.

My stat.s on the wealthy come from budgetary numbers such as the gdp..., just looking at the stock market (I am an ex daytrader btw) and some common faculty because I happen to live in a very wealthy beach area... meaning discussions with neighbors, etc...
oh yeah last reaction was for madmasky

I have no civic affiliation, but I believe we have entered an almost-unnoticed march into a recession, stagflation, or inflation. There are few jobs, and many boomers looking for exertion who aren't even counted in unemployment figures.

The unemployment rate for my masters degree cohorts is about 25 percent, and I make up that for the general population it may be even more.

There are also going to be major corrections in our US dollar as China and other countries communicate more to the forefront. My thesis involved watching currencies and prices, and the US dollar is inching down and prices correlate to (with margin for a cushion profit) the currencies of the import country.

If you are hanging onto those IRA's (or any stock-type funds or even a lot of spondulix) my advice right now would be take the penalty and build your dream home, finance your business, or your indoctrination, because the dollars are worth more right now than they will ever be again.

And yes, the wealthy are doing very well indeed. Those of us in the lower rungs need to employment on our "service" skills. The only other jobs are military or penal institutions. Seems the well off and powerful would just as soon put us all in large multiplexes out of sight.
