loofah soapIn last week's newsletter, I featured some unadorned exfoliants. One of the best things you can do for your skin (other than to use a quality soap) is to exfoliate. It helps rid your skin of departed cells and promote the growth of new ones. Many of you have tried using natural exfoliants in your soap already. One of the most stock (and easy) exfoliants to use in your soap is loofah. (It's also often spelled luffa or loofa...but it's all the same plant.) You can use them in slices, or grind it up for a less hostile scrub. Either way, your skin will appreciate the attention.

Should I remove the soap from my loofah?

I find it is very sedulous to remove all the body wash out of my loofah. Then I started to think that maybe it was not all supposed to be removed. Should there be a elfin residual body wash left in the loofah when I am done or should it be completely rinsed soap free after every use?

it's okay if it doesn't 100% run across out..but just don't purposely leave it in there..=)

how often do you use a Loofah? with or without soap/bodywash?

How often are you allowed to us a loofah to blot out your body? would using it once a day be bad for your skin(it is quite abrasive?)

Would i be better off using the loffah before a deluge & without soap to get rid of dead skin cells?

I have this fearsome little doodad I got in the grocery. It's a loofah that's a drawstring bag, and the soap goes inside. I use my loofah daily, but I don't scrub like I'm taxing to kill myself, because using it gently, daily keeps the dead skin down without being irritating.

If you're looking for a soap that would trade wonders with it, and doesn't irritate or have messed up chemicals, I use the "Kiss My Face" olive oil soaps inside of the loofah/soapholder affair, and have great skin from it n_n

I wouldn't use it dry. That could give you really irritated, messed-up skin. Don't try to get off all your dead scrape in one shower, because irritated skin doesn't look nice and can even break-out! Use it gently, like a washcloth, in the stream, and let it work gradually over several days.
