Enterprising Kenyans invade South Africa Standard

By Omulo Okoth in johannesburg

A few kilometres north of Johannesburg lies Diepsloot, a low-takings residential area which was most affected by the bloody xenophobic attacks that rocked several South African townships.

Further down, east of Rustenburg on the way to Sun Urban district, is a small urban centre known as Haartbeespoort, slightly smaller than Naivasha. A huge verve-generating dam, from where the small town derives its name, was built here during the Apartheid era.

The dam looks like a very popular venue for yachting competitions, donn the numerous vessels on its banks.

Its typical touristic nature is what attracts a visitor. Nicely designed makuti thatch houses, Brobdingnagian modern shopping malls, tourist hotels and conferences centres, good roads, entire with a market for selling curios, assorted artefacts and carvings stand out in Haartbeespoort. Still very much white, the hamlet is doing a roaring artefacts business in its equivalent of the Nairobi Maasai Market.

At the World Show Case at Epcot

There is a inform on outside one of the countries and there are two guys who carve things using wood or soapstone. I'm trying to find out their getting one's hands because i'm sending a friend to buy some items for me. The two guys are from kenya. They carve and paint beautiful things like masks, animals and many others. If you have seen them or are thriving there please help.
Thanks everyone. This has been helpful.

it's definetly the outpost. Engender left when entering the countries and it will be right after China. Before Germany. It's just a little tract- no rides or big shops or anything like the rest of the countries. Just a refreshment stand and a overhang for the masks, and statues they carve.

Sounds to me like you are discribing the Outpost which is located between the China and Germany pavillions. It is a piddling African themed area in World Showcase. I believe I have seen items like the ones you are discribing there.
